Family Night
At Hudsonville Lanes

I think Family Night at Hudsonville Lanes was really fun. When I first walked in the door, the first people I saw were my girlfriends with a huge expression of smiles on their face. The first thing we did was go find our lane. Then we rented our bowling shoes. Mine were too small, but I didn’t notice until we were in the middle of bowling. My big toes hurt! Ouch.
After waiting for one of our other friends to arrive, we started bowling. We couldn’t do it without bumpers. The first game I came in 4th place. The second time I tied for 3rd place. We never knew who would end up in 1st place because we kept outscoring each other each frame.
After we finished our first round, there was a little pause. So we got some snacks and we went over to the little gumball machines to get prizes. I got a gold necklace that had a dollar sign on it and silver earrings. After that, we just walked around and looked at things – video games, the candy counter.
It was now time for our second round. This time we were more “giggly.” We switched our names, played for each other and called one another by our new names. We kept on forgetting our names and almost bowled on the wrong name. It was very confusing because we kept forgetting which name we were. We talked a little bit after the game and walked around. Then it was time to go.
The girls came over to my house for a slumber party. We had to stuff them all in our van. That was funny! I think the most fun thing about Bowling Night was having a nice time with our friends and family.
