Ed Garen and Erin Grysen lead Sunday Night Sr. High Youth Group after church.

Food – Where do they get that appetite?Cedar youth sure know how to eat!So at each Youth Group meeting, one of our mom’s volunteers to lay out a nice ‘spread’ to feed these hungry teens after evening worship. And boy can they pack it down!Of course, eating together is an important part of Christian fellowship. We pray together, talk about one another’s life and always find time for a hearty laugh. Why not join us this Sunday! And make sure you bring your appetite.

Activities – Cedar wants our youth to get to know one another better! But how do we break down those natural barriers to deeper relationships that God wants us to nurture? One way we do it at Cedar is to put a ball in their hand –- or a racquet –- or a golf club!Part of our youth group time is spent doing an activity or playing a game. Both teens and adults rub shoulders in pursuing a common goal –- a basket, a goal, a hole-in-one!And as we do so, we find ourselves getting to know one another a whole lot better! That translates into good friendships, trust and a stronger sense of community within the church.Come join us!

Prayer Circle – At 8:15 sharp, Mr. Garen circles up the youth in the middle of the gym so that we can debrief, make announcements and share prayer requests. Our prayers run a broad spectrum – for friends, exams, jobs, health and loved ones with special needs. We have especially been praying for Mr. Garen’s 2 ˝ year battle with cancer. There have been some highs and lows, but we stand amazed at how God has answered our prayers.Having prayed, we take off for home to begin our school week on just the right note!
