On October 8, 2006, our dear friend and brother Creighton Miller publicly professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was received as a communicant member of Cedar Church! God used many means to bring Creighton to this point in his spiritual life – personal tragedy, broken family relationships, incarceration, residency at the Holland Rescue Mission, and much sweat and tears from committed Christian men who discipled Creighton over the years. Since Creighton is a classically trained stage actor and an experienced television broadcaster, the church’s elders asked Creighton to share his testimony with the congregation during our adult Sunday School class. A gifted writer and speaker, Creighton gave his testimony in the form of a moving scriptural meditation. It rivals the poetry one finds in the writings of Christian-convert, Francis Thompson (1859-1907), in his poem The Hound of Heaven, one of Creighton’s favorite verses.
You can listen to the entire 45 minute meditation as recorded at Cedar Church on October 29th by clicking here to visit our Church’s e-snip page.
